With the occurrence of Autism Spectrum Disorder at an all time high, there is a wide range of services required. These services offer the individuals affected by ASD, and their families, the tools that will help them achieve independence and the opportunity to lead a typical life. Whether the need is for early intensive intervention, helping school aged children master typical classroom skills, or aiding adolescents with the skills to handle social interaction, the aspiration in the ASD community of services is to ultimately provide independent living skills.

It is important to remember that all children on the Autism Spectrum will someday reach adulthood; at which time their needs will change from assistance with play and classroom skills to training with job skills and work habits. Open Door provides Community Based vocational training, as well as life coaching techniques, which leads to development of these skills and habits that are so fundamental in the progression toward independent living.
